Silica Insulation Boards

This material has revolutionized the market for fireplace construction products for several reasons. The boards are made exclusively from two natural materials: sand (silicates) and calcium. This means that when exposed to high temperatures, they are completely safe for users. This is confirmed by numerous certificates and standards. No foreign substances are released from them because no binding materials like adhesives are used in the production of the boards. Moreover, both used materials are fully biodegradable.

Insulates, Protects, and Serves as a Structure

Calcium silicate boards have highly desirable functional and technical parameters. Their small thickness – from 3 to 8 cm – allows for significant space-saving during fireplace installation. They themselves serve as a construction material, are easy to work with, and are lightweight. In terms of technical parameters, their main advantage is complete non-combustibility (class A1). The thermal resistance of Silica boards is 1050°C, and their thermal expansion at 500°C is less than 0.2%.

Silica insulation boards are available in two formats – large (1000 mm x 1250 mm) and small (1000 mm x 625 mm), each in thicknesses of 3 cm, 4 cm, 5 cm, 6 cm, and 8 cm.

Heat-Conducting Plates

Completing the insulation boards for fireplace construction are heat-conducting plates. They are produced based on calcium silicate and carbon, which, due to the high graphite content, has excellent heat-conducting properties. This is also a natural, easy-to-work-with material with excellent technical parameters. It is fully compatible with insulation boards.
