Glass Bases and Hearth Plates

Having a fireplace at home requires taking certain precautions, one of which is protecting the area around the fireplace from potential damage caused by hot pieces of wood. While adding wood to the fireplace, it might happen that ash spills or even a small piece of glowing wood falls out, which can easily damage the floor, especially if it is wooden. Moreover, when bringing in wood or performing cleaning tasks like cleaning the glass or removing ash, the area around the fireplace can get dirty. To prevent permanent stains, it's worth investing in special hearth plates that protect the floor.

Types of Hearth Plates

The traditional, simplest hearth plates available in our store are powder-coated metal plates in rectangular shapes. They come in black, copper, and graphite colors and are perfect as lightweight, portable floor protectors around the fireplace. The plate is relatively small and light, so when the fireplace is not in use, it can be easily stored away, preserving the room's aesthetics. For the more demanding, we offer designer glass bases made of tempered glass, which look much better and equally effectively protect the floor from embers.

Glass bases come in various sizes and shapes, and their unique appearance makes them an interesting element of decor that does not necessarily need to be hidden each time. They are available for straight, front, side, and corner fireplaces. Glass bases are very easy to maintain, easy to clean, durable, and highly resistant. Even if a large, heavy piece of wood falls on them, there is no need to worry about breakage. Glass bases have elegantly beveled edges, further enhancing their appearance.
